In 1962, the unfinished film Something's Got to Give- starring Marilyn Monroe and Dean Martin- began filming. The film was produced by Marilyn Monroe Productions and 20th Century Fox and was very eventful to say the least. As previously stated, this film was incomplete due to Marilyn's unexpected passing, but was later released with the available footage on June 1, 2001- what would have been Marilyn's 75th birthday. Here is the timeline of this wonderful film, even considering it wasn't ever finished, from Marilyn's perspective: ♡ April 1962-
May 1962-
June 1962-
July & August 1962-
As shown throughout this timeline, I myself was very surprised by how difficult the filming of this was was- for Marilyn and other castmates and crew members. However, even though how hard this time in Marilyn's life was for her, what was made of this movie was perfect and it makes me sad it wasn't ever completed. Marilyn and Dean made such a sweet on-screen couple. Here is the actual, uncompleted film Something's Got to Give- enjoy! (I also recommend the documentary Marilyn Monroe- The Final Days, which goes into great detail of the filming of this film): Thank you for reading today's blog post and I hope you have a wonderful day! :) Hold a good thought for Marilyn today and always! <3
